Today I gave the girl I said I used to like a birthday gift.
She liked it. Said she would listen to the CD from start to finish.
I like her, but in the last six months I've tried to just be her friend.
It worked, because I stayed away from her.
But I felt bad that I just dropped her cold turkey like a bad habit.
When I was driving away I had this wave of emotions hit me.
Oh they hit me.
I still like her... a lot.
Like, I still wish deep down inside she would spend the rest of her life together with me.
I thought I was over her, but I'm not.
