I can't take cold showers because I have this reflex, for lack of a better name, that makes me unable to catch my breath when I put my head into the stream of water. It feels like I'm drowning. Right now it's so hot here in So Cal that a cold shower is a necessity, but I can't take one -- just a semi-cold one.
