I hate it when I email someone this big long email and they don't write me back -- or they just email me something like "hey, long email; I'm doing fine, the end." I guess it's the waiting that sucks -- if someone writes me back super fast I can almost deal with the short email response. But to wait a week and then get a short response, that hurts more than anything.
